Compact 1000 or 2000 Watt Yamaha Generator

The two models are Yamaha’s 1000 and 2000 watt generator models equipped with inverter technology which produces cleaner and fuel efficient electrical current as well stable enough to power even sensitive electronics built with microchips like computers, smart phones, LCD flat screen televisions and monitors, among others.

Yamaha EF1000iS – this is a 900 watt rated AC output with a maximum output of 1000 watts. It is also capable of 12v DC output. It is a very compact and portable generator with dimensions 17.7″ x 9.4″ x 14.9″ (L x W x H) and a weight of only 27.9 lbs! It sports a 4-stroke 2 HP engine with 50cc displacement. Maxium fuel (unleaded gasoline) capacity is about 0.66 gallon and will run continuously for 12 hours at 25% load. It is capable of adjusting its engine speed to match load so you will get more for your fuel. It is also built with molded casing and noise absorbing materials for that true blue silent generator operation with only 47 to 57 dB (A) noise level!

Yamaha 2000iS – is the EF1000iS’ slightly bigger brother with dimensions 19.3” x 11.0” x 17.9” and a heft of only about 44.1 lbs. It runs on a slightly more powerful 4-stroke engine with 79 cc displacement. It is equipped with a 1.1 gallon fuel tank and is capable of running for more than 10 hours without refueling and at 25% load. Its rated AC output is 1600 watts with maximum of up to 2000 watts. It is also gifted with relatively quiet operation capability with only 51.5 to 61 dB (A) rating.

Yamaha is one of the top brands as far as power generators are concerned and they make some of the best inverter generators out there but is there really a need for generators this small?

These smaller generators are obviously not meant to power an entire construction site or an entire home but many people use them to provide the electricity needs of a camping or a road trip on a recreational vehicle or RV. Many RV owners use these small generators to charge their RV’s or any land vehicle’s 12 volt batteries. They are light and portable and can be used with even sensitive electronics.

If you do not need lots of juice, smaller generators provide a lot of convenience especially in many recreational activities. If you need slightly more power, Yamaha also has 2400, 2600 and 2800 watts models. If you are looking for more, check out some 3000 watt generator options.
